Research Techniques

Primary Research it is something you have found out yourself then acting on the knowledge on what you know. for example doing a survey to get information about the New James Bond Film for peoples opinion

Secondary Research it is information which has already been published which i have found and took notes on E.G. on websites or in books.

Qualitative research is primarily exploratory research that relies on data obtained by the researcher from first-hand observation, interviews and questionnaires. it provides different aspects

Quantitative is used to increase the amount of numerical data that can be transformed into usable stats its also generally used to finds patterns averages as well as cause-effect relationships between variables in studies

Legal considerations is something which goes against the law like, copyright which is an artists exclusive right to own the piece of work that was created so no one can copy it. It is also a way for the artist to protect their work.

Ethical considerations are what the community think is morally right or wrong so this is mainly targeted at race religion and sexuality .  these considerations makes sure no one person can feel offended.  when I come to do my vlog i will consider everyone's feelings by not using bad language, blasphemy or any other language that people might find offensive.

Regulatory and professional bodies are OFCOM, BBFC and ASA. BBFC is important as they are responsible for maintaining age classifications for all films across the UK. OFCOM is governed by the parliament to ensure that you are paying for films and to make sure that you are not scammed. ASA is there so that when people advertise they stick to the principles so they don't break the law.

In this video Mr Beast spends 24hours in a plastic box underwater, he has a limited amount of oxygen he talks to the viewers. The camera angles that have been used in this vlog are mainly close up because there is not much room to move around in the box underwater. There is also one scene where they go to change tanks which uses a mid angle shot showing, two friends changing the tanker of Mr Beast air. Mr Beast always wears his signature logo on his shirt, if not on him his friends wear clothes with it on. Stylistic elements could include how he does his transitions and how he does some text at the start of the video.

Global Underwater Explorers this video features the underwater explorers diving in Mexico to explore a new underwater cave system. One of the camera angles that are used in this vlog are close ups of the divers getting ready for their dive. then they  take pictures of the cave system using long shots and wide shots to get the expansiveness of the cave system   when they are diving they take pictures of the equipment they use the techniques they use is close ups and also in away a long shot. Stylistic would include how they did the intro at the beginning and how they showed off the walk to the dive site they speed some of the video up as it is a long walk to the dive sight. I don't know what kind of camera they used to take the video but if i was to guess i would say it was a portable mounted camera i would also say that it was a multi camera technique because before the they get into the water they were using a different camera before they get in i would say it was a larger camera

Vlog about going on a trip in the Great Smoky Mountains he explains how he goes on a journey through this mountain he uses different camera techniques to get the scope of the mountain he use long shots and a bottom up shot to show the hight of the mountain. stylistic techniques can be shown in the density of the fog in the background and the leaves being more centralised. at the beginning of his intro he uses text this is another form of stylistic techniques extreme close ups of the terrains gives you a true a sense of the mountain he is climbing wide shots of the mountain show how big it is. In my opinion he cropped his video to keep his audience interested also though it doesn't specify what camera he used we can guess it was one were he did all the filming himself we can all tell it was a high quality camera as in some scenarios he takes a video of a moss covered rocks and he really close to the rocks so you can almost se the moisture in the rocks but you can still tell that time still marching on yet the quality of the video is still good.

this video shows a lot of good techniques such as transitions and timelapses between scenes and he adds text to describe what he is doing when talking can't be done because lets say his tractor is the main sound in that scene that text draws your focus and allows you to understand what is going on in this video the person is growing and harvesting pumpkin. this task would of been just as hard as climbing the smokey mountains the difference between those videos is mainly the coulor how dark and difficult the moutain is to climb and how wide the feild is and how they still cover that massive expanse how the pumpkins seem to be a stong orange colour in otherwise a feild of green in the smokey mountains video the colours are much darker and the trees seem to tower over him.

this video is more chaotic than the last video as he seems to be trying to do evething at a hundred miles an hour this is not a bad thing though because of his frantic nature and the way he uses techniques such as a timlapse gives more energy to the video also the video seems to cut to each scene in a snappier fashion this gives it a much more of a fast pace vibe to it. the video itself feels like its out of control and with the activity of what he is doing it works his fast paced nature and the timelapses he has used to create this frantic video where this video fails i feel is when he puts the pumpkin in the oven he gets distracted and the video gets side tracked and once he has taken the pumpkin out of the oven its still to hot to really do anything with slowing the video down.

i was orginally going to do an adventure video around swineley foreest but i thought that a pumpkin carving video would be more fun and festisive plus i feel it is just as exciting as a walk around swinley forest.

this is a mock up story boarded i created to get an idea of how i would structure mine when it came to doing my story board the site i used to make my storyboard.

How does YouTube's Copyright policy work?

From my understanding of how YouTube copyright policies work is there are certain laws that a channel has to abide by such music laws if they don't own the song they can't use it unless the have permission from the Person who wrote the song it someone was to post without the permission they would get a warning or strike be asked to take the video down.

-What is Content ID?

It is a way to for Youtube creators to track the content they have created and find out where it is being used if another channel use His/Her content then they look to see which video and see whether they mind it being used or not if they do mind then the person who used the video could get a strike.

-How can Content Creators be punished for breaching copyright or community guidelines?

usually they a strike on the video but if you get three strike's on a video then your channel gets taken off youtube this makes people more aware of what they are posting on there channel

-Why do you think that YouTube is so harsh with their 'strike' system?

it is because of what the rules are and also they get a warning  so there is no reason they couldn't of taken the video down. what the rules are essentially YouTubes safety net to stop the social media platform from getting removed from the internet
-Explain a step-by-step process of how you can successfully make an income online without breaching any policies addressed in the above video resources.             The first step would be to read the guidelines of what Youtube considers as a breach of conduct. Secondly you would choose a topic that people are interested in today. Thirdly you would edit the video making sure that it follows the Youtube guidelines. fourthly you upload the video to Youtube. The fifth one is optional if you want to make money on your videos you want to advertise and collaborate with channels that already have a steady fanbase increasing your popularity as you get recognised by the viewers. make sure you follow the guidelines

day in the life of a working DJ

This is a video of how we learned to create writing with animations in them on top of a background in Adobe AfterEffects. I got my background from Pexels then I downloaded the video onto AfterEffects then what we did was we learned how to add text and animate it. To add the text you click on a T button it will allow you to write on the screen, after doing this you could change the font and colour of the text by highlighting the text and clicking font to change the font and colour to change the colour. I changed all of the fonts so I was able to see different styles, also I changed the colour to white so it would stand out on the background. To animate each part of the words, we created three different segments that could be animated separately. The animations I used were a push, whirl and fade, to do this I clicked on each segment and created a marker which is where I wanted the animation to start and stop. I then picked which one I liked for each segment and applied the correct animation, to do this for push i pulled the words on to the screen, for whirl I changed the rotation degrees and the opacity, finally for the last one I just changed the opacity to 0 so that it would fade in. This will help me later on when it comes to making my vlog as I will be able to add an into and outro to my video to explain what it is about. I found this lesson very helpful as it has given me loads of new skills to use for future projects.
